Retail stores
POS, barcode scanning and 15% VAT receipts for shops of every size.
A shop lives on the speed of its counter and the accuracy of its end-of-day totals. Fatooraz gives retail stores a POS with barcode scanning and price lists, simplified tax invoices with QR, and VAT reports that match what was actually rung up, in Arabic and English, from a single till to a busy counter.
Problems we see in this industry
Prices that differ between shelf and till
When shelf tags, promotions and the till disagree, cashiers argue with customers and discounts leak. Teams end up changing prices by hand at the counter, and nobody can audit those changes later.
Returns and exchanges without a clean paper trail
A customer returns an item days later, perhaps at a different price. Without a credit note tied to the original sale, the refund is handled in cash or on a note, and the VAT you reported no longer matches reality.
Slow checkout from keying in products
Typing product names or codes for every basket slows the line and invites wrong items. Shops with a wide catalogue lose sales on busy evenings and weekends, when customers will not wait.
Month-end VAT figures built from piles of slips
Collecting till slips, card receipts and invoices to work out the VAT you charged takes days and still leaves doubt. Errors surface later, when correcting them is harder and more expensive.
How Fatooraz helps
Scan, charge and print in a few seconds
A barcode scanner or the touch catalogue adds items instantly, price lists apply the right price, and split or partial payments are accepted. The till keeps working through short connection drops.
Point of sale (POS)A QR code on every simplified invoice
Every sale to an individual carries a simplified tax invoice with a QR code and your business details. Fatooraz is built for the requirements of ZATCA e-invoicing, so issued invoices stay unedited.
ZATCA e-invoicing (Fatoora)VAT reports that match the till
Every sale and return carries its tax treatment, whether 15%, zero-rated or exempt. The VAT report then reflects what was actually recorded at the till rather than a rough estimate.
VAT complianceCredit notes tied to the original sale
When an item is returned or exchanged, issue a credit note linked to the original invoice rather than altering it. The document stays clear to the customer and the accountant, and returns match the tax reports.
InvoicingE-invoicing for this industry
Walk-in sales to consumers are simplified tax invoices, issued at the till with a QR code and reported to ZATCA within 24 hours once Phase 2 applies to you. When a VAT-registered business buys from you, the sale needs a standard tax invoice that is cleared first. Returns are credit notes. Watch ZATCA announcements for your wave.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use a barcode scanner at the counter?
Yes. The POS supports barcode scanning, so scanning a product adds it to the basket at its listed price. Items without a printed barcode can be chosen from the product catalogue on the cashier screen.
How do I process a return when the customer has the receipt?
Find the original invoice and issue a credit note against it for the returned item. The invoice is neither deleted nor edited, so the record of the sale and the refund stays clear and the amounts flow into your VAT reports.
Do I need a different invoice when a company buys from my shop?
If the buyer is a VAT-registered business and wants an invoice with its details, it needs a standard tax invoice rather than a simplified receipt. You issue it from the invoicing module in the same workspace, and it is cleared through the Fatoora platform once Phase 2 applies to you.
